Yanks-Padres 6/19/2008 Joba, Arod, Jeter, Mo!
Thursday June 19, 2008 was a gift of a baseball day. Sunny, 75, excellent seats (thanks Pat Niro) and a gem of baseball game as the Yankees beat the Padres 2-1. Joba Chamberlain started and gave up one run on a seeing eye, way behind the pitch slicing ground rule double by Tony Clarke. Joe Girardi pulled Joba at exactly 100 pitches, one batter short of being the winning pitcher. Veras to Farnsworth to Mo. It was Hall of Fame Day, as we saw Jeter, Arod, Mo, and I'm forecasting Jorge and Joba. It just doesn't get better than this. Check back every few days as I add shots.Read More
